Urban Education

The Alonzo A. Crim Center for Urban Educational Excellence was established in 1996 to provide a city-wide laboratory for the development of excellence in urban education.

Housed in the College of Education at Georgia State University, the Crim Center brings together faculty who are interested in conducting research and provides services to schools in urban school systems. The center also has a number of programs, initiatives and conferences that provide students, faculty, staff and alumni the opportunity to learn more about serving urban populations, such as the annual Benjamin E. Mays Lecture.
