The College of Education will hold its Spring Convocation for graduating students on Friday, May 6, 2011 at 4:00 p.m. in the Georgia State University Sports Arena (125 Decatur Street, Atlanta).
While the University Commencements on May 7 signify the official conferral of degrees, the College of Education Convocation, a pre-commencement ceremony, is an opportunity for the college to recognize its graduates and celebrate its students’ achievements. We encourage our graduates to participate in both events.
Convocation will feature guest speaker Dr. Kent McGuire, president and CEO of the Southern Education Foundation, a public charity headquartered in Atlanta that focuses on public policy and educational practice from pre-K to higher education in the southern United States.
Registration for this event is required and graduates wishing to participate should confirm their attendance by May 4, 2011, to Stephanie Echols at (404) 413-8131 or email@example.com.
