Atlanta is the premiere location for anyone interested in pursuing a career in sports, with many events being held just blocks from the Georgia State University campus. Some of the mega events hosted in Atlanta over the past two decades include: two Super Bowls (XXVIII in 1994 and XXXIV in 2000), the 1996 Centennial Olympic Games, the 1993 and 2003 Women's NCAA Final Four, the 2002 and 2007 Men's Final Four, the 2000 MLB All-Star Game, the 2001 PGA Championship, the 2003 NBA All-Star Game, the 2006 Sugar Bowl, and the 2008 NHL All-Star Game. Atlanta is also the home of many annual sporting events, such as the Georgia 500, the AVP Crocs Tour, THE TOUR Championship presented by Coca-Cola, and the Chick-fil-A Bowl. In addition to these events, listed below are just a few of the sport organizations located, and/or headquartered, in the Metro Atlanta region.
