EXC 7130 Course requirements

1. Develop curriculum-based evaluation tools for a specified curriculum area (language development, reading, written expression, mathematics). Assessments must cover multiple grade levels (typically 3), include at least two types of CBE measurements (or subskills), AIM score must be indicated and be tied to specific curricula. Using the CBE, complete a case study on a student who needs instructional modifications (a student in a special program or in need of instructional modifications). The CBE should occur in one area of academic skills.

Background of student--age, grade level, previous progress in target area
Description of problem--describe in behavioral terms

Description of Evaluation/Instruction

What is the student's Instructional Level?
        Survey Level
        Describe the procedure used
Describe the materials used- name and level
        Specify the desired standards (CAP)

Completion of a Functional Behavior Assessment (to include observational and interview data on the standard form used by the system)

An additional area of CBE tasks (beyond those completed for 1 above)
