Resources for Parents

NEW WEB SITE LAUNCHED TO HELP PARENTS ACCESS RESOURCES FOR INFANTS AND PRESCHOOLERS WITH DISABILITIES

The U.S. Department of Education today announced a new Web site to showcase the government's efforts to help America's infants and pre-schoolers with disabilities and their families. The site, located at www.fed-icc.org, will provide a convenient storehouse of information for parents of children with disabilities.
Some highlights: -- For parents, the Web site is user-friendly, easily navigable offering access to names and numbers of people throughout the government who can help answer questions about children and disability issues. The site also provides a means for parents to contact and communicate with FICC parent member representatives.

Project Appleseed

Hello! Project Appleseed is proud to present to you a valuable self-assessment tool. You and your schools can use the Parental Involvement Report Card (www.projectappleseed.org) to rate your contributions to your child's educational success!
We encourage you to take a few minutes to review and complete the Parental Involvement Report Card. It is intended to be distributed in your school and/or to help you assess your own involvement in your child's education.
Thanks,
Rick Thompson
