Professional Development Wednesdays – Educator Preparation presentation
Educator Preparation Open Forum: “Linguistically Responsive Pedagogy, Part II”
Facilitator: Joyce Many, Associate Dean of Undergraduate Education and Educator Preparation
Panelists: CEHD faculty members Cathy Amanti and Laura May
This session is a follow-up to the Jan. 25 Professional Development Wednesdays forum, when the discussion focused on the recent shift in the field of language education from a monolingual approach to a translanguaging approach. In Part II, participants will have the opportunity to reflect on what the implications of this new approach are for their own work.
The Professional Development Wednesdays Speaker Series offers workshops, forums and talks on a range of topics aimed at the college’s faculty, staff and students. Educator Preparation presentations are held on the fourth Wednesday of every month at 12 p.m. in College of Education and Human Development room 1030.
