Indirect Costs

Indirect costs are based on Modified Total Direct Cost (MTDC), which is the total direct cost less equipment that costs $5,000 or more, patient care costs, participant support costs, alterations/renovations, rental of off-campus space and subcontracted expenses in excess of $25,000, student stipends, and tuition.

Off-campus rates are used when more than 50% effort is expended off campus.

These rates were agreed upon by Georgia State University and the Department of Health and Human Services (on behalf of federal agencies) on 14 December 2004.
