Major Area of Interest:
My clinical experiences have afforded me the opportunity to work with children and adults from various cultural backgrounds and language groups. My research and teaching interests have been shaped by these clinical experiences.
My current research interests include: examining differences in the perception and production of phonemes as it relates to culturally/linguistically different groups; figurative language development in language impaired children, as well as children from culturally/linguistically different groups; and determining the methods of learning that are most effective in teaching figurative language concepts.
