Major Areas of Interest:
As a clinical professor of special education, my current interests are focused on research-based best practices for serving students with exceptionalities in classrooms, effective practices for the training and preparation of educators who serve students with exceptionalities, and the retention of those educators in the field of special education. Other areas of research interest lie in transition services for adolescents with disabilities, the identification of and interventions for English-language learners with disabilities, and improving writing performance for students with learning disabilities.
