Looking for a local graduate student who is interested in working with a nine year old girl, Lizzie, who has some speech and language deficits. She has just been diagnosed with absence seizures that last 3 to 5 seconds and go undetected; therefore, she has missed out on educational instruction. She has a neuropsychological evaluation with recommendations. Lizzie currently lives in the Alpharetta area and attends St. Francis Day School and is in the third grade. Looking for a candidate who is interested in special ed/education/psychology to work with adorable 3 year old boy who is on the autism spectrum. Must love children, have lots of energy and have a sincere interest in being a part of our son's progress. ABA and/or floortime therapy experience would be preferred but not mandatory. A strong willingness to assist in these areas is acceptable. Candidate must be available to work on weekends in our home in Roswell near Holcomb Bridge Road, 2 miles from GA 400. Looking for at least 2-4 hours (possibly significantly more) of weekend time to focus on reciprocal and goal-oriented play along with receptive and expressive language development.
