Educational Research Bureau renamed
The College of Education & Human Development’s Educational Research Bureau has been renamed the Office of Research and Sponsored Projects (OSRP), effective Sept. 1.
Although the name has changed, the services provided through this office, housed on the third floor of the College of Education & Human Development, will remain the same – to help College of Education & Human Development faculty, students and staff find funding opportunities and develop proposals and budgets for funded projects. Staff also provide post-award financial and reporting assistance.
ORSP will also continue to coordinate the college’s Professional Development Wednesdays Speaker Series, which provides students, faculty and staff with opportunities to learn more about educational research, instructional technology and educator preparation. “Our new name better reflects the work we do for the college, and our faculty, students and staff,” said Alison Norsworthy, office director. “ORSP will continue to provide the same high-quality services and we will continue to look at ways to make our department even stronger.”
Norsworthy said the office’s ultimate goal is to make the grant and contract process – both submission and management – as smooth and easy as possible.
“Even though our name has changed, we will build on the legacy of our former and present staff and continue to strengthen the research and sponsored projects infrastructure of the college,” she said.
