Bio

Dr. Saxton joined the Department of Early Childhood Education in 1991. Prior to her appointment at GSU, she held teaching and administrative positions at Indiana State University, Terre Haute and Butler University, Indianapolis.

Her teaching and research interests include multicultural and anti-bias education, spiritual development in early childhood, and diversity issues in teacher education. She has served as a consultant to schools, state departments of education, corporations, and publishing companies on the topic of diversity.
