Bio

Mrs. Jordan taught elementary school, started and directed a infant/toddler center, and taught part-time at Georgia State University prior to becoming a faculty member in 1989.  She has taught reading/language arts, children’s literature, and classroom management.  About half of her time is spent in school settings working with preservice and inservice teachers.  Her areas of interest are literacy, supervision of instruction, and teacher induction/retention.  She currently chairs the Induction Committee for the College of Education.  Her work in teacher development focuses on using technology to connect preservice and inservice teachers.  She and a colleague were awarded a Student Technology Fee Grant that provides students with laptops and digital video cameras used for sharing their work online in professional learning communities guided by the protocols of Critical Friends Groups.  http://www.harmonyschool.org/nsrf/default.html
