ARTICLE VII
Financial Matters
Section 1. The President, with the approval of the Executive
Board, shall annually appoint a financial officer who shall serve
as an officer of the Division. The Financial Officer may be appointed
for succeeding terms.
Section 2. The Financial Officer shall:
A. Maintain the financial records of the Division.
B. Prepare and submit an annual budget for approval
by the Executive Board and the membership.
C. Authorize the payment of expenses approved by
the Executive Board or authorized by the president.
D. Work with CEC comptroller to maintain accurate
records on the Division's revenue and expenses and to conduct an
annual audit of the Division's financial records.
E. Make an annual report of the financial status
of the Division to the Executive Board at the annual business meeting.
ARTICLE VIII
Executive Board
Section 1. The Executive Board shall consist of the immediate
past president, president, president-elect, secretary, financial
officer, chairs of the constituent committees, chairs of the standing
committees, and the Division's members of the CEC Representative
Assembly.
Section 2. The Executive Board shall:
A. Serve as the Division's administrative policy-making
body.
B. Recommend policies and programs for the Division
to the membership at the annual business meeting.
C. Recommend an annual budget to the membership.
D. Decide on the publications that should be issued.
E. Select the sites for meetings of the Division.
F. Assume such other responsibilities as are appropriate
or assigned by the membership.
