The Children's Action Network is a group of representatives from various state and national affiliates who have the potential to impact federal legislative mandates impacting the education of students with various disabilities and abilities. The CAN Coordinator meets twice a year to share concerns from the constituents with CEC and other representatives and to learn about and discuss current legislative activitiy from CEC and Capitol Hill. In June, the CAN representatives meet for intense training in Washinton, D.C. followed by visits to their congressmen and senators. The second annual meeting is held during the annual national convention.
