For General Education Goals in the Core Curriculum

The Assessment Plan will consist of the following five
components:
- A description
of the outcomes that define the goal.
(E.g. Computing competence is defined by the following outcomes:
Ability to present reports in electronic format; ability to sustain
discussions through email, chat rooms, and bulletin boards, etc.)
- A
description of the ways in which courses to be assessed contribute to this
goal;
- A
description of the assessment methods (how you will use various assessment
tools to document achievement of the learning outcome);
- A
description of your data collection and analysis procedures (i.e., how assessment data
will be collected and reported, who collects which data, from which
students, how often); and
- A
description of how you will be using the results of your analyses (i.e., what
type of feedback you will give to departments to improve the outcomes).
