<p class=3DMsoNormal>The committee reviewed and discussed each subcommittee=
&#8217;s
plan. There was consensus that not all sections of courses or all courses
taught by a department in the core could be assessed. Rather, a sample of
courses that was representative of what was required would be required to be
assessed.</p>

<p class=3DMsoNormal><o:p>&nbsp;</o:p></p>

<p class=3DMsoNormal>There was considerable discussion regarding how critic=
al
thinking differs across various disciplines. Because of this critical think=
ing
was divided into two sub-groups, humanities and sciences. Also, it was noted
that plans for using laptops in a wireless environment to assess technology
skills would need to be delayed until a proper classroom could be configured
and equipped.</p>

<p class=3DMsoNormal>After extended discussion, all plans were approved.</p>
