WebCT Brown Bag Luncheon presentation:

We were very fortunate to have Dr. Autumn Grubb, Distinguished Professor & Coordinator of Professional Development at Georgia College and State University host the presentation on November 17, 1999.
The presentation that she gave is called "Building Cyber-Learning Communities in WebCT". The presentation is designed to help participants realize why it is important to create and nurture "community" in the on-line learning environment. The presentation also helps participants conceptualize/concretize how they can use WebCT to:
  1. motivate students to use course tools to interact with one another and collaborate to complete course requirements,
  2. encourage students to respond to fellow students' work and add to content discussions,
  3. encourage student-to-student mentoring/training, and
  4. use course tools to manage student requests for help.

The Powerpoint slides used in the presentation are available online.
