Directions to COE

The 10-story College of Education building is located at the corner of Pryor and Decatur streets in downtown Atlanta. The handicap accessible main entrance to the building is on Pryor Street and the rear entrance is on Kimball Way.   If you wish to use an Internet map program to generate specific driving directions, the street address of the College of Education is 30 Pryor Street, Atlanta, GA 30303.

FROM I-85/I-75 North: Take the Central Ave. (exit 246) toward Downtown/Ga. Dome.  Stay straight to go onto Central Ave.  Pass Underground Atlanta.  Get into the left lane and turn left onto Decatur Street.  The College of Education Building will be one block up and on your left, at the corner of Decatur and Pryor Streets.  You will see several public parking areas on the left, behind the building. 

FROM I-85/I-75 South: Exit Courtland/Georgia State University (Exit 249A). Stay on Courtland until you reach Edgewood Ave. Turn right onto Edgewood Ave. Go to Park Place. Turn left onto Park Place. Go to next traffic light (Decatur Street) turn left. The College of Education Building will be on your immediate right at this corner. There are some public parking areas on the right, past the building.

FROM I-20 East: Exit Capitol Ave. (Exit 58A) and turn right. Continue on Capitol Ave. past the State Capitol. The road becomes Piedmont Ave. Continue on Piedmont Ave. past the Georgia State MARTA Station. Turn left at the first traffic light past the MARTA station, Decatur Street. Go through two lights.  The College of Education building will be on the left, at the corner of Decatur and Pryor Streets.  You will see several public parking areas on the left, before you reach the building. 

FROM I-20 West: Exit Windsor/Spring Street (Exit 56B). At the 3rd traffic light, turn left onto Central Ave.  Continue on Central Ave. past Underground Atlanta.  Get into the left lane and turn left onto Decatur Street. The College of Education building will be on your left, at the corner of Decatur and Pryor Streets.  You will see several public parking areas on the left, behind the building.

MARTA: (Highly recommended way to avoid downtown traffic)

Take the MARTA train to the Five Points Station. Exit the station on the Peachtree Street side (facing Underground Atlanta). Go left and cross at the next crosswalk where Wall Street meets Peachtree Street (there is a large colorful sculpture near the corner). Walk one block to Pryor Street. The College of Education will be to your left across Pryor Street (at the corner of Decatur and Pryor Street).
