Welcome to the website of the Department of Counseling and Psychological Services (CPS) at Georgia State University. I appreciate your interest in our programs. As you explore the website you will find that we offer quality graduate programs in the various counseling professions and related fields.

The CPS faculty members are committed to providing Programs of excellence that are accredited by appropriate accrediting bodies. These programs include appropriate coursework required for licensure in particular areas of practice. The faculty members each have unique areas of expertise and are considered leaders in their fields of study. Many of the faculty have international reputations of excellence and are involved in international research.

Students in the various programs are encouraged to become involved in the activities of the department and relevant professional organizations such as the American Counseling Association, the American Psychological Association, the American School Counselors Association and the National Association of School Psychologists.
