Sojourners GSU - The mission of Sojourners is to provide social support, advocacy and mentorship to International students within the CPS department. We seek to increase awareness among CPS students, faculty and staff of the specific issues that International students face within the American education system in general and within the counseling profession in particular.
Play Therapy - Play is the natural language of children and is a metaphor, or symbolic expression, of what is going on in their lives. Play is to children what verbalization is to adults.
Project Dove - Project DOVE stands for drop out and violence elimination. We work with local schools to try and keep students involved by using these combined interventions: social skills curricula, monitoring for high risk students, teacher and staff training, and parent involvement.
