Major Areas of Interest
I teach courses in developmental and educational psychology at the undergraduate level and educational psychology, cognitive psychology, and metacognition at the graduate level. My research interests are in the areas of discourse comprehension and memory and metacomprehension across the life-span. Research projects have been funded from internal grants as well as grants from the Michigan Department of Education, the International Reading Association (Elva Knight Research Grant), and the National Institute on Aging (FIRST AWARD).
