Major Areas of Interest
As a researcher in the field of emotional behavioral disorders (EBD), my research focus has been on identifying, implementing, and evaluating proactive and preventative strategies for use with children and youth with EBD or challenging behavior. My research agenda is aligned with national and scholarly needs and has focused in three areas: (1) functional behavior assessments (FBA), behavioral intervention plans (BIP), and positive behavior supports (PBS), (2) juvenile justice issues and the prevention of aggression and violence, and (3) choice-making.
