Presenter: Meredith Larson, research analyst, U.S. Department of Education’s Institute of Education Sciences

Meredith Larson oversees education research grants at the Institute of Education Sciences in the U.S. Department of Education. She helps recruit researchers from a wide array of disciplines into the field of education research, both junior and more senior researchers, and leads trainings on grant writing. Her own previous research explored the intersection of language and cognition. She earned her Ph.D. in psycholinguistics from Northwestern University, where she also worked as the assistant director to the English as a Second Language program.

School Professions Career Fair 2016 @ Veteran's Memorial Hall - Dahlberg Hall

College of Education and Human Development students looking to get a jump start on their post-graduation job searches will be able to meet with potential employers at the 2016 School Professions Career Fair, scheduled for Thursday, Feb. 18, from 4-6:30 p.m. in Dahlberg Hall.

The career fair, hosted by the college and Georgia State University Career Services, invites current Georgia State students and alumni to meet with representatives from all areas of teacher education, including counseling, administration and sports-related fields.

Attendees are encouraged to dress in professional attire, preferably with their resume or other important documents in hand.
