Transient Student Application Information

Transient Student Status:

Transient status is for students who are currently in a graduate program at a regionally accredited institution outside of Georgia State University. Admitted transient students are permitted to take up to nine credit hours of selected coursework in a specific semester. This status is valid for only one semester.

Application Deadlines: 

Fall — July 15
Spring — December 1
Summer — May 1

Application Requirements:

  • A submitted online application. Select “College of Education and Human Development” for college; select “Graduate Transient Status” for program; and select the appropriate term
  • A nonrefundable application fee of $50 is required for submission. This fee must be paid online by credit card.
  • Letter of Good Standing from current “home” institution, in a sealed envelope with official’s signature across the sealed portion of the envelope.
  • A list of courses in which you wish to enroll: include this list in the “Goals Statement” section of the online application
