The Robert Noyce:
Urban Mathematics Educator Program (UMEP) is designed
to increase the number of high-quality secondary mathematics
teachers who are willing to teach and remain in urban school
districts. The UMEP provides $10,000 stipends to
students to pursue initial certification for secondary
mathematics teaching through a Master's Degree program known
as TEEMS at Georgia State University.
If you are
interested in becoming a secondary mathematics teacher and
would like to teach in the Atlanta Public Schools or DeKalb
County Schools, you are encouraged to apply to the Robert
Noyce Urban Mathematics Educator Program.
