Admission Requirements

 

 

 
 
bullet Must be a U.S. citizen,  national, or permanent resident.
bullet Hold an undergraduate degree in mathematics or the equivalent of a major from a regionally accredited college or university.
bullet Have earned an undergraduate GPA of 2.5 or higher.
bullet Earned a minimum score of 800 on the General Test of the Graduate Record Exam (GRE), verbal and quantitative only.
bullet Received a passing score on PRAXIS I (students with GRE scores of 490 [verbal] and 540 [quantitative] are exempted from GACE I requirement).
bullet Provide three recommendations: one academic or professional, one personal, and one from a current or past supervisor.
bullet Provide a statement of career goals (300-500 words).
bullet Interview successfully with mathematics education and mathematics faculty who work with the TEEMS program.
