Council for Exceptional Children

The Division for Physical and Health Disabilities (DPHD)
is the official division of the Council for Exceptional Children that
advocates for quality education for all individuals with physical disabilities,
multiple disabilities, and special health care needs served in schools,
hospitals, or home settings. The Georgia DPHD provides information to
teachers and other service providers who work with students with orthopedic
impairments in Georgia.
The international DPHD is a part of the Council for Exceptional Children (website:www.cec.sped.org). DPHD has put out two position papers specific to the field of physical and health impairments. These are on:
