Dr. Jacalyn Lund presented a featured keynote address at the inaugural Physical Education and Sport Teacher Academy (PESTA) conference in Singapore. The two day conference launched the new professional development academy for physical education teachers in Singapore.
Dr. Lund spoke about the importance of assessment while teaching physical education and reminded teachers that each had the potential to give their students the gift of learning a sport or activity that students could enjoy for a lifetime. Following the conference, Dr. Lund presented workshops to the PESTA Champions, a cohort of teachers who will help colleagues improve teaching effectiveness. While at the conference, Dr. Lund had the pleasure of meeting Mr. Heng Swee Keat, Minister of Education for Singapore.
