Tampa Bay Rays Second-year Graduate Student gets a home-run of a job with the Tampa Bay Rays Organization

Second year graduate student, Nick Flynn first interned with a minor league team within the Toronto Blue Jays organization in 2009. In 2011, he interned with the Tampa Bay Rays, splitting his time between the big league club and a minor league team. Later that year, Nick kept his hand in Major League Baseball by completing another brief internship with the Atlanta Braves organization.

As luck would have it, a full time job opened up in the Tampa Bay Rays organization. Because of the dedication and skill Nick demonstrated during his time with the organization earlier in the season, they called him to see if he was interested in the job opening.

Nick is currently a minor league athletic trainer in the Tampa Bay Rays organization. He will be the athletic trainer for the low A ball level Princeton Rays following spring training. For more information and read the press release please click on the Rays image above.

Congrats Nick!
