Dr. Walt Thompson, regents professor of kinesiology and health, was recently appointed to the Board of Directors of the Atlanta Clinical and Translational Science Institute's Atlanta Research Consortium for Nutrition and Exercise (ARC-NEx).  The goal of ARC-NEx is to develop a consortium for investigators interested in nutrition, exercise and obesity research.  The consortium encompasses all levels of research including basic science, clinical, public health/epidemiology, and community.  Members of the Board of Directors represent the Georgia Department of Public Health, Emory University School of Medicine, Georgia Tech, Georgia State University, and Morehouse School of Medicine
