After-School All-Stars Atlanta
Supported by nearly $2 million of external funding annually, the After-School All-Stars program was developed over a decade ago to provide a comprehensive after school program for middle school students living in Atlanta. The program has now grown to include nine separate and distinct middle school sites both in Atlanta and in the near suburbs and four community based programs including the City of Refuge and City of Atlanta Recreation Centers. Students are engaged in sports and recreation, homework assistance, tutoring (including standardized test preparation), technology, the arts, and project-based learning. Over 2,000 children participate in this five days a week, 3 hours per day after school and summer program.
