EPY Discussion Group

 

Instructions for the EPY Discussion List

 

1. General
The Educational Psychology Program has established a discussion list for the use of its faculty and graduate students. The discussion list is intended to facilitate rapid dissemination of information to students and faculty within the program and is also intended to facilitate discussion of topics of interest to faculty and students. In order that the discussion list might be used to its best advantage, all EPY graduate students and faculty are encouraged to participate in the discussion list.

2. Subscription

  1. In order to participate in the discussion list, you must subscribe to the list. List membership is closed to non-program members.
  2. For EPY faculty and current students, subscription is automatic.If you have NOT received the welcome message from EPY_DISCUSSION@LISTSERV.GSU.EDU, you should email Judy Orton (jorton1@student.gsu.edu) so that she can check your subscription. 
  3. If you are part of the alumni group and you wish to continue to be part of the EPY list, send an email to Judy Orton (jorton1@student.gsu.edu) stating your degree and graduation year.

3. Posting Messages

  1. Once you have subscribed to the list, you will be able to post messages to the list. Your messages should be generally related to EPY program activities, but may also take on a character to fit the needs of the discussion list members. Additionally, the list will also support sending attachments to list members as well.
  2. In order to post an email message, address your message to: EPY_DISCUSSION@LISTSERV.GSU.EDU or just hit reply to a post that has been sent from that address

3. Unsubscribing  

  1. If you have graduated and your GSU email address expires, you will no longer automatically be subscribed to the EPY Discussion list. If you wish to remain on the list, please email Judy Orton (jorton1@student.gsu.edu)  with your non-GSU email adress. 

5. Discussion List Web Page
GSU LISTSERV maintains a web page to support this discussion list. This web page provides information relating to the discussion list, as well as a message archive. The EPY Discussion list web page is at: http://listserv.gsu.edu/cgi-bin/wa?A0=EPY_DISCUSSION
