MAJOR AREAS OF INTEREST:

Gender and ethnic minority identity development, the adolescent period of the lifespan, cross cultural competence and multicultural counseling, school counselors’ work climates, students’ academic persistence and achievement, and mattering, spirituality, and wellness across the lifespan. Her areas of specialization include developing strengths-based school interventions for use with adolescents, aligning school counselors’ daily work activities with national models of school counseling, multicultural competence of school counselors, and ethnic/minority adolescents’ identity development and academic achievement and persistence.
