Welcome to the Department of Counseling and Psychological Services (CPS).
On behalf of our staff and faculty, I encourage you to peruse our website and the various ways in which members of our department are contributing to the wellbeing of our community and advancement of our professions. With over 3,000 graduates currently working in a variety of settings such as private practice, school systems, community agencies, and various academic positions, CPS has earned an international reputation in the fields of School Psychology, Counseling Psychology, Counselor Education and Practice, School Counseling, Rehabilitation Counseling, and Mental Health Counseling.
Faculty members are committed to student success. Our small class sizes, academic advising and mentoring, research opportunities, and ongoing relationships with hundreds of community-based practicum and internship site coordinators, combine to provide students with a rich opportunity for personal and professional development. Whether serving as journal editors, presidents of national organizations or authoring testing instruments, CPS faculty members are recognized as leaders in their respective fields.
If you are a prospective student and visiting this website, I would strongly encourage you to attend one of our department’s Information Sessions. These events are wonderful opportunities to learn more about our various programs and their admission processes, as well as meet faculty and staff. A question and answer time is always provided for attendees. Please click here for more information.
Again, welcome to the CPS Department website.
